With Nag3 coming my way in the near future, I have to decide whether to stick with VM or not. One big factor in this decision will be how to get the World Cup games in HD next summer. I assume that I'll need BBC HD and ITV HD at the very least but is that all the games covered? Are some games on Sky only?
What's the best way to get BBC HD and ITV HD? My understanding of the present situation is that ITV HD is only available on Freesat but it is possible to manually add it to a Sky HD system. It is not on VM yet although it is expected at some point in the "near future". I also believe that in my area (Granada), they have started transmitting BBC HD and ITV1 HD (a different channel to ITV HD) on Freeview although no commercial receivers are available for Freeview HD yet.
So, which way to go? Wait for VM, wait for a Freeview HD receiver or go for Sky? Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
