The amount of posts saying they are going over to sat/c.s/plenty up there to see etc. Its not all that easy as some think.
There are no listings mags in Tesco with films that are on Digi TV, Nova, Digitalb etc, so little wife wont be happy not being able to plan the weeks viewing. Half the time, you cant even tell what footy will be on and on what package. I can tell you now for free, if your family like the ease of use of Sly and Vermin then they wont be happy if you suddenly plonk a Technomate/Protek/Dreambox on the tv stand, there you go love, not sure where the Eastenders omnibus is though!?!?!? what do you mean love, I aint sleeping in the kennel. And dont even start with keys, cams, software etc.
I, like most, got into the whole scene looking for 3pm footy, getting free cable, sat ~~~~ etc kind of came as natural extra, but this is all a hobby. Have had various sat stb's for years and the wife cannot figure how to use them, and she is good with PC's and the like.
My friends, if you have a tv viewing house, wifey with soaps, kids with cartoons etc (yeah, Pokemon, Benten etc with german or czech dub), then you should be looking at official Vermin or Sly. All this nads about giving up your coin to Rupert or Branson, forget you, they are good packages, and as good as you will get from sat viewing, imho, you will pay as much for foreign subs and not get half as good.
