pace ntl box

just got a pace ntl box off a friend but when i boot up on the screen it just says ap.52 (on the tv i have just the vm logo ) is the box gubed and should i just bin it or can it be fixed

I heard of this before and think it is part of the boot up sequence. Try leaving the box on for a while and see if it gets past it.
