I got 3 of them and spent days trying to get them to work,if some one could correct me but when its connect to the box you will have no signal. The mesh aerial is the one you need with a down converter

bought 3 of them aerials when i got t boxes for me and family hook them up got no signal tried horizontal and vertical no signal. Then i disconnected from box and put lead into telly and tuned, I got bbc 1+2 itv ch4 and sky news on uhf only. Had an original aerial plug it in back of telly and tuned got those 4 channels and a load of scrambled channels on vhf.

So i think my theory is they work if you live in an area where they transmit the signal on the uhf band. I think

If your saying that the new downconveter has freq output of 500-800 you will have to edit the terrestrial.xml or manual tune start at 506 & increase in 8Mhz steps ( 506 514 522 530 get the idea )

you may have to find the start freq i use the above as an example if this doesn't find a signal start at 522 & increase in 1Mhz steps untill you get a signal then goo at 8Mhz steps

That ariel converts 440mHz higher than standard chxxus ariel, think you should start scanning at 658mHz and go up in steps of 8mHz from there as Despdan said until you get over 130 services in all scanned in, bout 90 are tv, rest are radio!
                  Whatever!!

                      Hi Chris

unrar file and ftp xml file to var/etc, reboot and do a scan
choose option scan 2 and see how you do

Looking at his profile he has a Box T so he cannot use your services file. He needs to give an approximate location to allow others to give him a start of point to scan from.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer. - Douglas Adams

Just getting back to yous on them intergrated aerials. Live in louth in the north east of eire.Connect up the aerial scanned the box went through the MHZ in steps of 8 no stations.Connected ch____s aeril scanned the box found channels that scanned up to 420 MHZ.So my conclusion is them aerials are uhf compatable and the signal being transmitted is VHF.
