Some of the top people who manage to sort this out on previous encounters, now actually work for the cable companies on five figured salaries, but there is still a lot of people clicking them cubes around, its not a matter of "IF" its a matter of "WHEN".

These are complex algorithms, so if you can imagine that explanation of how many apples are in the basket....And it would actually be something more like a very complex formula which when given one code must equal another code, and if the codes dont match you dont get the pic..

Imagine trying to find the value of the letters in a forumala like the following.

128 * (a(4) / (a*b)*c) * z to the power of x = The code you require to view your pic... And that formula would not even come close to the one embedded on your viewing card. The one on your viewing card takes a lot of proccessing power. Wheras that one is dead simple.

The formula isnt really the issue, any attempt to try and figure it out by glitching the card doesnt work with the new amtel cores, if it detects you trying to get at the data it resets the ram and leaves you with nothing to dump.

Previous cards where cracked by getting several dumps of the data and comparing them then working backwards you could figure it out, these new cards are protected against such attacks.

The only way to figure out whats going on is to dissasemble the card layer by layer and emulate it.
In order to do that you need to have very specific and expensive hardware and be qualified to use it in the first place. The process is EXTREMELY technical.
Imagine taking a piece of gold leaf foil and finely slicing off layer upon layer untill you have 20 microscopicly thin leaves...
People capable of doing this already make enough money as it is, why risk the loss of a job, lawsuits and jail time to hack cable?

Its a staggering amount of upfront investment to make, especialy knowing that as soon as its leaked your very unlikely to make your initial investment back let alone se a return.

The cold hard fact is that unless someones stupid enough to front several million into the development to purchase equipment thats already staggeringly hard to come by, and assemble a team of highly qualified people willing to break the law then its likely not going to happen.

Breaking the algorythms on the old cards was relatively easy, this is another league entirely.
