VIRGIN JUST CALLED ME - NOTTINGHAM, MIDLANDS

ok i have 50mb broadband and had 20 before that
legal sub i payed for for well over a year now

in this time i have never had any calls from virgin to upgarde any packages

also in the past virgin have told me always i must have a phone line to have there tv package

well i just recived a call from VM 10 minutes ago

they told me they would send me a brand new V box with 2months free subscription XL package with every channel and free box
delivered by courier

i made it very clear i would not have a phone line and they said no problem :s , and to me this is a 1st
they said it would just connect to your cable line
which i already know as im using eurovox

now this ties in with the N3 Midlands/Nottingham rumour going round for end of jan begining of feb

they told me after 2 months of free XL it would be costing me 21? per month as i have 50 mb bb

so in total they would be expecting 60? per month with no phone line off me 39? for 50mb bb and ?21 for tv

i said after 2 months how much for base pack and they said 5?

so i took the free box and 2 months free sub
after my 2months are over ill downgrade to base pk and put in kids room and pay 45? a month for 50mb and base tv

i found this kind of deal very interesting concidering what i allready know is going down

fair play tho VM 2months full XL pk tv even sky dont go that far

also another cool thing about this is they said the free 2month sub would start from when i plug the box in and activate the card

so i guess ill leave it boxed up and tell em im going old holiday for a few weeks and start 2 use when the eurovox goes down

Hey HD they did the same to me about a year ago, a brand new samsung v box and card, the box had a splitter all the cables and a XL card which I still havent used, when I ask them why they were sending it the answer was "you are a good customer and have been very polite during this customer survey. Anyway everyone I know that have v....n packages have not received a new card yet which can only be good news for us we are in the Nottingham area.....

i also heard yesterday from a m8s, friends, uncles, aunts son who works for vm, ( you know the rumours ) that new boxes and cards r on the books for the nottingham area with in 6 weeks

yep its a ive heard from a few different solid sources that its happening pretty soon round here , few of the engineers has been leaking this info for a while

so they wont bother issuing a new card in a few weeks i should get with this box

Well at least the Leeds lads had the chance to sell their box's for good money and many did.
Tip if you are going to sell on ebay do a bargain BIN price so it sells quickly as they are removing listings off the site very quickly.

I received a new card in the post today, Coventry. I have just basic TV. I didnt ask for this
