Can a dm500s be used as a cablebox?

I have a dm500 and would like to use it a cablebox. Can anyone help?

if it really is a dm500s then no you can't the 's' part of the model means it has a sat tuner in it and cannot be used for cable..

500s=sat receiver
500c=cable receiver.

No chance mate I once thought that but found cant be done so now i own both 500c and 500s some people will tell you to get 7000 series which has both tuners in it for cable and sat then it comes down to price and hope box never fails you if it does you could lose cable and sat in one evening to separate box's is better cos if one goes faulty doesnt interfear with the other box!!!!
