Digital Tunning on my sony tv

Hi everyone, I'm almost ready to rip my hair out (or whatever is left of it)! I am trying to tune my TV Sony KDL E5500 indigital tunning. I have the DVR NTL box and have split the cable using the correct parts. When it scans it picks up over 150 channels, but RTE 1 is the only channel that comes up on the screen. I have tried frequency 452000 and 291000 and Net ID 42753. I apologise for just coming in with a request for help without even saying hello first, but as I said I'm going to go mad as I hate a part of the tv not working as it should....Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Why are you trying to tune the tv if u have an ntl box? Surely you just need to use your source button to get to the scart/hdmi that's connecting the tv to the ntl box?

forget about it ryan 33 nagra 3 in dublin , the sony needs a diablo cam or similar with the correct firmware to decode nthell signal,had this set up my self but since nagra 3 only getting 7 or 8 channels and no fix ahead .it's a pity the sony has a very good epg,but my advice would be to forget about it until such time a fix arises,there is a thread on the sony bravia on here if u do a search
