This is what virgin refer to as NGTV.

Everyone is moving over to 1 super-headend (Langley), NGTV is part of that upgrade... also it's the start of the new encryption system (no more cable pirates!) and the start of the change over to ipTV.

So basically when your area is on the NGTV platform you are ready to receive new cards. You will know when you go NGTV if you have a third party box ie Eurovox, Kryptview etc and have to recan to get all your channels back due to your area being aligned with the Langley headend.

thats me then i had to recan all boxes couple weeks ago im on my way out then still 4 yrs is great

Just a wee quickie as it's slightly off topic but may help those who lose their service. New freeview HD tvs should be in stores from next week as my company have them ready to go. First one we have is a pana g20 42 plasma, specs are spot on but I thot I'd just say as obviously the world cups looming and it's an alternate HD source if your HD receiver won't work.

Can post more if someone can advise which section to put in.

And plz bare in mind that it's only selected regions who will get freeview HD in time for world cup.

I don't have a sub for tv, just a dodgy box. I only have internet from VM, so I wouldn't know if new cards have been issued yet.

If your in Uddington or anywhere near there you can expect to get new cards anytime as Uddington headend is on the list of areas that have joined NGTV.

In fact you can expect all of these areas and areas connected to them by same netid to get cards at any point now.
