Panasonic should have their 3d tv launched aroung spring / summer and from what I can gather pricing will be around 1000 to 1500 for the tv which is about the same as the current v10b which we sell at work.

Spoke to a sky rep and they say it will only work on 200hz+ , whether that is correct info I don't know but can't see why the frame rate would matter. Will try and get some guides from the pana rep if he's in soon.

---- frame rate must be 120hz minimum to trick the eye ----

Not buying into this. It was brought back to help the ailing cinema business and it worked to a certain extent but that is where it should remain. Unless they work out how to do it without the need of specs then I cant see me jumping on the band waggon. Also for alot of people watching it makes them dizzy/feel unwell to bad headaches. its a gimmic also because the TV screen is smaller than cinema you have smaller area to sit in to get the best from it. My m8 saw avatar at cinema and said it was ok but the 3d was a let down. He was sat at the side I watched it in the middle of the cinema and thought it was amazing. Only gonna be worse with a small sceen.

Virgin M have not been able to roll out HD properly yet with only 7 HD channels out of 250 plus. Until HD is the norm across the majority of channels I cannot see 3D making an impact. It is yet another gimmick, how long have they been flogging HD ready TVs before they started a limited HD transmission.

As above I can't see how this type of viewing won't damage your eyes + it's meant to be 3d inwards not outwards. To much scope to improve on HD services. I have final destination 3d on bluray but haven't watched it yet.

to all of you that like technology i must say that everything has got a start, but just to mention that i really like the picture quality on the 3d trial and its fabuluos i also watched on normal dvd 3d my bloody valentine and was shit because they use the old type of glasses like imax ,the one with 2 colors and the technology that is used on watching now is the one on vue cinnema type of glasses and will not hurt u watching.
so be brave and welcome the new ideas .
to finish that virgin will probably launch the 3d sky channel that opens this April.

I ALSO RECOMMEND THAT U GO IN THIS CENTRE AND TRY IT YOUR SELFS.
