    Uploading digivox firmware via serial port in LINUX anyone?

    Have done a quick search but nothing seems to be relevant!

    trying to upload latest firmware to my Digivox XL using a serial cable but don't have the knowledge to do it in linux. Tried running Downloader10 through wine which doesn't work! any suggestions would be greatly received.

      nearly sure you have to use xp and pc with null modem cable.

          got the PC, got the null modem cable, just not go the operating system grr.

          how many modern PCs have serial ports on them nowadays. just as well i've got an old one knocking about.

          wonder if there's a bootable version of xp i can put on a USB stick so i don't have to fanny about installing it
