I am currently on the 3 for ?30.00 TV,Broadband,Telephone.

However I am now testing the water and getting ready to pay for the full package, obviously the only reason is because Nagra 3 will soon dictate I have too.

My only viewing interest really is the football Sky Sports, ESPN etc and all the documentaries.

What has been the best deal any of you have been offered either by Sky or Virgin ?, any feedback will help me know what is the best deal I can hope to negotiate over the phone,

Not bad, with phone calls my bill was usually 40-45, so for 3 quid extra i'm getting more phone calls, V+ box, HD Channels, ondemand stuff. not too bad i'd say.

I had Sky installed at start of March with the half price offer which is great but still waiting for the phone line to be installed which wont be happening till end of March and then I have to ring up to sort out the broadband, which will take another 2 weeks. When I rang Virgin to cancel my subs they offered me exactly the same deal as Sky including the + box and multiroom and it only worked out ?3 pm more than sky, wish I had rung Virgin first as I would have stayed with them. They also said that I should look into the broadband deal as Sky have a fair usage policy and as kids spend hours on Xbox live I might get charged, has anyone else heard of this?

yes m8 virgin most times when you phone up to re-negotiate your bill and use sky as excuse for moving because of better deal they will match/better

like all the ones still contracted getting direct debit of ?30 on the 3 for ?30 sevices they got years ago and when sky was offering for 15 anyone with virgin could phone and get bill cut down to ?16 for the 3 if threating to move but plenty still paying too much from old days and need to re-negotiate price for package

Just had Sky HD installed today, free box, free install, ?24.99 a month for 12 months for the full package.

First impressions are that I am well impressed, especially with the HD channels they fully compliment my 50 inch plasma TV,I wasn’t expecting such superior quality for 1080 I, watched all the footy today and I think it’s the business a real classy picture and sound.

The installer even put me a quad LNB on my dish to run my freesat of in my bedroom; he also drilled another hole and set it up for a brew.

I am glad I chose Sky.

i too am on the half price 12 month free install and free HD
costing me 26pm as i have espn

i have my 50mb bb with virgin i pay 40? a month for
complained about info received from rep on phone about tv
and got M+ package for bedroom for additional 3.50pm
i got full cardshare setup and eurovox still working and dont really have 2 pay for any tv but its nice to have genuine subs
i even have 2 hacked ambits and dont really need to be paying for broadband but i like my no cap 50mb

so in the space of 6 months i gone from paying no1 anything to a communication bill of around 70? pm and i still have no land line just contract mobiles and thats ontop of the 70?
