End Of June for N3 Everywhere?

Just read this article.

Am I right in thinking that a key component of Virgin's NGTV is Nagra 3. If so, this would seem to indicate that they're looking to get it all in place before the end of June.

well if it took them 4 months to get leeds subscribers updated with new boxes and have now moved onto east london i cant see the rest of the country being switched to N3 this june

Nagra 3 is not dependent on the NGTV switch. The NGTV is where all areas c&w ex C&W and NTL will all come under one headend. Thus everyone will have the same channel lineup. The encrytion can be simulcrypt both nagra 1 and 3 at the same time if the completion for NGTV has taken place before June.

well sounds to me by the posts on this thread and others most folk are just shooting in the dark.the way i see it is like this.if vm could change over quickly as they would have hoped to then new cards ,boxes ,new deals would have been inplace sooner.i dont know much about it myself but common sencse tells me that vm are not doing it as fast as they would like.the longer the better.so much for feb then it was march now easter .and even some saying may or june.have a look at other posts about areas that have switched then work out the time difference between areas .that should give you a rough idea as to how long it will take.my own opinion is november.

all streams were changed to 3.7 (n3) a couple of weeks ago all thats needed now is for the new cards to be delivered when that happens it`s roughly 2 weeks before channels start dissapearring.

The deadline for the NAGRA 3 completion would have been set by Kuldeski since the N1 contract has expired and virgin will be under pressure to change. i suspect the whole network to be Nagra 3 before the world cup to advoid any disruption to viewing.

Dont get the 3.7 update confused with N3, it's only an update to handle the N3 stream but works perfectly fine on N1

wait six months and yel start getting them on shouting about whens the fix oot.heres one buy a package off virgin.give you something to do while theres no free cable.maybe they will hold a candle lit vigil for all the dead boxes.

Hi guys will there be a fix for this issue that N3 is causing??
If they are all over to this N3 will there be a way round the n3?
