Will the free to air channels be scrambled by virgin when their encryption roll out is complete. I want to know if I will be able to use my cable box (I have a kryptview) to watch and record the free to air channels or will my box be completely useless.

you will only get the channels 1 to 5 which are free to air
the other channels you are referring to are free to view providing you have some sort of subscriptionComment

Just to clarify what I am asking.....
the free to view channels are availbale free without any subscription....
I can get these channels via my roof top arial through my tv....
So I cannot understand why virgin want to encrypt them for transmission over their cable network.....Comment

virgin cannot encrypt them but in your first post you were referring to kryptview and never mentioned your TV
your kryptview cannot record from the TV it will be only capable of getting channels 1 to 5Comment
