This bit of kit is at first glance a little confusing, can anyone enlighten me as to how it works, and more importantly translate the tech speak

its cable tv signal amplifier which will help boost weak signals. you put your feed into it before the splitter then split your signal. It helps if your cable box has either a shit tuner or you are using long cables or split your signal all over the house

I meant how do I adjust the 2 gain controlls and the slope controll to get the best results

I put it on my weakest channel Sky Sports 2 in my case and turned the gain up till I had around 94-95% snr then turned the slope up till it started to affect the snr when it did I turned it down a bit.
