Which Cable Box to Buy..?

I am looking to buy a cable box and I need some advice as to which is the best and which services I can get. I am currently subscribed to Virgin cable, so is there a box I can use to plug in and recieve the free to air channels etc?

Any advice would be appreciated as i am very new to this.

At the present time its not worth buying any box, as they will be usless real soon, as the Uk is changing encryption to N3, which has not been cracked in over 3 yrs, so you can say goodbye to free tv as you now know it.

Ireland has been N3 since August 2009 which is 8 mts now, and no fix for that, so save your money and get sly installed.
