Recording from virgin tv

Don't know if this is the right section for this but does anyone know how to take a recording from virgin's On Demand programmes?

What i want to do is record a prog onto my dvd recorder while watching it -- i just get a msg saying this isn't possible.

I have had the same problem and i dont think it is possible ,we have to record when it is on

I meant when it was originally broadcast ,sorry for the confusion.

It's not possible to record an On Demand movie. They use Macrovision protection to prevent this.

Although I bet some clever sods have managed to circumvent this, LOL!

Tks, didn't know that.

Surely it must be possible to just record what is showing on the tv screen? Or does the software tell the recorder not to record it?
