hi m8 u could phone them to see wot u can get off them or u could threaten to cancel and go to turn arounds, but in my experiance there not very co,oprative in that way all depends on how long uve been with them as well, u may be better off switcing to sky belive there doin some really good deals on there hd packs, but yeh try vermin and see how u go m8....

I am on XL BB and XL TV and same phone as you and pay 45 quid a month.

phone them up and tell them you want to cancel the TV package.

they wont question you at all and cut you off there and then ( they have a new policy and wont offer any better deal ) ( call my bluff sort of thing ) .

then phone SKY and get an excellent package, tell them you are a VM customer and are thinking of changing to sky,

you will get

free HD box
free instalation
every channel ( including HD ones ) ( except ESPN ones ) ?24 a month for 12 month

i can see VM going under in the next few years as they will price themselves out the market.

i have VM tv phone internet plus mobiles 5 in all with my kids,
if this nag 3 comes, they will be having the lot back, im looking at satalite , not sky wouldnt touch then with a barge pole,
VM will go tits up if everyone cancelled their subscriptions soon as nag 3 comes along,

good call, but no doubt this would be a 2 year deal, and after 12 months it would be 60 quid a month!!!!!
but make sure you leave VM soon as N3 shows it face,

Thanks for that Aftermath, will look in to that, as I think it's time I dumped VM and made the switch myself.

Out of interest, that ?24 does, or doesn't include Sports and Movies?

It does but you won't get that deal any more its finished.

I just phoned virgin up and said i'm considering moving to sky. what could they offer me' and to be honest they wasnt very helpfull. I said i was going to get the same kind of package off sky for the same cost and get upgraded to hd. virgin said we could do that but you would pay for a hd box off us and sky will only do broadband at 2mb you currenty have 10mb uncapped
so i said i will get back to sky and see what they said

basically it seems you do have to go all the way to the cancelations department to get better deals but to be honest i dont think that sky could match what i get

loyal? honest? wait till u want to leave.

you PAY for the sky receiver so if it fails after a year - u have to pay for it to be repaired. you only 'rent' Vm's.
