    Recording VM programs

Has anybody else noticed that you cannot record VM programs onto a DVD/HDD recorder.

there was a post about this the other night, but it seems to have got lost.

    You you tried a video-sender/receiver?

    No idea, but sounds good.

OR a Victorain video recoder, in/out of phono/scart, removes MacrvisionTM

You should be able to record normal vm telly just by connecting up ur DVD recorder, but u can't record telly on demand etc. It's protected by Macrovision so the recorder gets a msg telling it not to record it.

I've heard there is software to get round it but am not sure if it's worth tinkering with your dvd recorder tbh (unless u know wot u r doing!).

you can get a macrovision remover from maplins or fleabay for 20 quid. just run it through via scart leads then into hdd recorder. incidently the same thing happens with sky boxoffice too.
