    VM ITV HD

I'm in Belfast and to-day i got a brochure telling me the wonderful package i can have with virmin. Among their boasts is ITV HD but a quick flick through the channels & what you know, i don't have it. So me being the tit that i am i rang virmin and asked if i could subscribe to their new & exciting package. I gave all my details and told her what package i wanted, no flies on this girl she told me i'm already subsribed, but i said not to the package that has ITV HD and thats the one i want.So i asked them why they is advertising a channel that doesn't exist here. So she took her ruffled feathers and went to find out the facts. We will have ITV HD next week. Don't think so it seems to be a bit of advertising B...S... Does anyone know the truth. Thats my rant for the week.

UTV and STV have decided not to commit to HD programming... Its not ITV or VM's fault...

UTV & STV have not submitted any plans to ITV for HD provisions..

I suggest you make a complaint to UTV, its out of VM's hands

I don't care about n3 i've spent that much time tryin to find alternative tv i've sickened myself of it. I think vermin need to answer why they is advertising ITV1 HD in belfast if they can't as we believe fullfil the promise. I complained to UTV to-day i'm awaiting their reply.VM have different offers for the various regions. So its not a error on their part.It doesn't affect me personally i don't watch that much football apart from the major tournament, but i know what its like to get my hopes up just to have them dashed and if you receive that leaflet then your being conned and set up for a big disappointment. No what i'm saying, so if it is a con i'm going to hound them over it. need some quick.

you will probably find mate that its a generic leaflet and in the small print it will say ITVHD not available in UTV or STV regions...

ITV:HD will be broadcast but it wont be regionalised..
ITV1HD on Sky is London based, all the local news programs are for the London area.. It will be the same on VM broadcast on channel 113

You wont get a STV or UTV HD version..

The ITV1HD on channel 113 will be perfect for the football

              or maybe you wont..

On the VM website its listed as ITV1 HD**

** Not available in Scotland and Northern Ireland

Having a look around the net it seems STV have announced at their AGM held on 21st April that:

"STV today confirms an acceleration of
investment in High Definition, greatly enhancing the viewing experience for our audiences.
Initially, this HD service will be available on digital terrestrial and digital cable services and we
expect this to be in place for the 2010 World Cup"

Hopefully for you mate UTV will do the same
