i have a digivox xl and usb pen drive - transfares the 1.7 bn to box thats sorted scaned found channels and then gone into s.menu with 1004 but still i get no channels can any 1 help

only thing i cant do is factory rest because the password of 4x0's is not working and as never been changed some please help

digivox xl does not have a usb port so you have quoted the wrong info.you have a digivox xl usb box which is a different model and firmware needed.0000 is the default you enter unless a password has been entered then 1668 is the override code.
