n3 cards ???

hi all just a quickie my m8 got his self set up through the door this morning off vermin.went round to be nosey hes got the little hd box but he still was given a rom 11 i thought it would be a n3 card ????
any ideas guys thought they would be giving out the new cards by now jay

I had the same last week. Bought and paid the extra for the hd box. My assumption is that if your area is not yet on the nag3 stream the new card would not work so they issue the old card which will be replaced when the system is upgraded.
