newbie here. read as many of previous posts as i could to find answer so apologies if i missed answer.
got old silver digivox on virgin and looks from other posts that something was done recently in south wales area (not sure of the technical word for this). all channels seemed to go to channel 5000 with what appears to be sub-channels without names. did the whole 1004 thing and all channels seemed to come back.
on checking i have found the following:-
- loads of duplicate channels.
- other than ch5 none of the terrestrial channels where they should be.
- under 5000 sub channels i found the missing channels and renamed them.
Q - if i re-scan in a week or so will it gradually fix itself or is the 5000 list here to say?
Q - is this a 'firmware' issue?
Q - if a firmware issue how can i download when there is only a scart / RS232 socket?
Q -would a newer digivox XL / eurovox / starview solve the problem?
thanks in advance..
**FORGOT TO MENTION
still have all the movies and sports so not a big problem just wondered if there is a fix to put back like it was. cheers...
