Extra box

Anybody know if its possible to get an extra box without a monthly fee?I would like to put a V+ box in another room.Can I phone VM saying I have not received my card then buy a V+ box from a friend who is selling one and get the card they send out activated on that box.I will have received 2 new cards in this way.Just phone up and activate them at different times.Will this work?It saves me paying a monthly fee
Also,are the cards 'married' to the box or interchageable with other boxes?Thanks

NO MATE THAT WONT WORK AS THE CARDS ARE PAIRED TO THE BOX WHEN YOU GET THEM .sorry about the cap lock .
if you try to activate a second card they will know. if you have the time call them up as they can do a deal where you pay ?5.50 a month for a second card and box, giving you all the channels you get on the first box on the second , is it worth paying out for a second box ????
