Broken ITGate TGM 220 remote control

Apologies if this seems mundane. Trying to rescan my ITGate TGM 220 but it seems impossible to do without a remotecontrol. Does anyone know a way of doing this via a computer interface?

Many thanks guys for any help

The only way i can think of is to factory reset your box, which will then go through the motions, select region, time etc.. then the option to auto / manual scan using the middle button on the box to select ?

Turn the ITgate off from the back of the box then press the up button on the front of the box

while keeping your finger pressed on the front up button switch the box back on from the back'

you will then see a menue pick factory reset ,

    Do a factory reset,

After that do a scan if channels are still missing do a brute force scan and it should all be O.K.
    Thanks to Roy.

You can also try to repair the remote.

You will need a soldering iron & something to open the remote with.

If I remember correctly the remote will pop open with a little persuasion (to lazy to go down stairs & get mine).

Once open use the soldering iron to melt the solder holding the IR LED & the blue capacitor next to it (it has 3 legs). Allow it to cool down & then try it.

Most faults are caused by dry/cracked joints in the solder.
