help needed pls

hi and firstly Sorry!! i am completley new to this so any help and links will be greatly appreciated.i have got a digivox xl box but the firmware is really old,tried to use it last night but all channels scrambled? this was the first time i had used it as it was given to me,What do i need to do pls?? thanks in advance. p.s ntl lincolnshire

your wasting your time m8 lincolnshire is on nag3 ( vms new encryption ) if you update the firmware on the box you wont get all channels, and what you do get will disappear very soon, theres no fix for nag3 sorry

bugger ,was just trying to save money with tv package,have finally managed to get it working but the main channel the kids watch is blocked so back to subscription i think,thanks for the speedy reply

sv6 will only be any good for cardshare ( google for info ) other than that waste of money.

why would you recommend this box. all boxes are useless as and when nag3 hits. c/s as this box is capable of doing is not a long term fix and a very dangerous fix too.

trouble is mate, if people dont know how to use a normal cable box, how the eff are they going to use a satellite based box???
