    explorer 4000dvb engineers menu

    hi guys i have a explorer 4000dvb and would like to acsess the engineers menu i have tried up and down but its not working
    i also have a di4000 and would like the enginners menu for that cheers guys

    hi m8 its the only way to get into em, sa 4000 hold in up an down buttons together dont let go untill em appears, same with di 4000, they will go into em they have to..chris..

      chris how are ya mate
      i've managed to get in to the engineers menu of the one to find the net id was wrong so i took the battery out and removed the red jumper it reseted it back to 09999 but when i reboot it it just says please wait while something or other cant remember the correct words it stays on there for ages with no change

        hi m8 iam fine how r u? rite can u tell me wot area ur in ie ex/tw/ntl/cw and also witch box did u take the battery out of to re set net to 09999 i asume it was the di4000 if it was make sure the other settins r correct aswell def freq/simble/qam its important, also wonce rebooted leave it for a while it should come on. ....chris...

          yes mate it was the di4000

          i have a samsung 2110c that works great so i went into the engineers menu checked all setting E.G default freq
          defualt symbol rate network id but didnt check the qam whats that ? also i'm in the telewest area they both have telewest cards so thinking this time i should be able to sort at least one out

          so how do i get the other box 4000dvb to change net id to 09999

          thanks mate i'm good just been chilling most of the weekend and drinking

            hi m8 if ur talking changing the net id on the sa4000 then thats a chip lift (not easy) its the only way to change the net id on that modal, wot is the net id on the box now?..

              cheers mate dont worry about the sa4000 for now we will talk about that when we get some channels on the explorer 4000dvb so whats the qam settings if i change that will i get some channels

                hi m8 qam is modulation settin its located just under the simble rate it should say 64 if it says 256 change it to 64, no its nothing to do with channels but if not rite could fail to boot box, just let me know were u get up to and i will do wot i can to help ya...chris...

                  hi mate checked that it was 64 i've rebooted the box and it says nit then er12 on the display

                        hi m8 soz didant post back been busy, rite wich box is it u wont to force an update on? err 12 normaly means incorrect net id/ area freq, have u got any further yet..

                          heres where i am the box is a di 4000 with the red jumper and the battery on the made board i have reseted the net id back to 09999 checked the qam its 67 rebooted and the box just says please wait loading data is there any thing i may be overlooking

                            hi m8 ok i think weve been here before , di4000 thats a tw box, now the only way to fix that model is to sort the net id out this is why it cant get passed loading data its looking for the net id, also u cant do a forced update on a di4000, woy u need to do is set net id using a fun card or atmega, do u know how this is done coz iam not very farmiliar with this sort of net setting, i know u need a card programmer and a software programm cant remember wot its aclled now its been a while think its nxcs or something like that, i will have a look around and see wot i can find.....
