Confirmation needed on loss of service

Just before the weekend I lost all services on my TGM220.

Re-scans & bruteforce fail to locate transponders. Took it to a friends who has standard VM equipment & working services. Scanned ok & found all channels. Went back home, plugged it in & got nothing.

I've been unable to check with neighbours if there's a problem in the area. But this has been off since friday so I'm geting a bit sus now.

A friend with VM connections did tell me that VM will be cutting connections in the street boxes to non-subscribers. Now since I told VM to stuff it a while ago I'm just looking for someone else to confirm total loss on a non-subscribed connection (that's no services supplied by VM)

I'm in the Teesside area & will be really p1ssed off if this has happened because I cancelled the landline.

Ok, I've had this confirmed. I have been disconnected in the street box. But I could get someone to unofficially reconnect it. Just thinking about it for the moment...everything will be going off soon anyway, so will it be worth it?

i think you know may not be worth it if they come back to check, can the boxes be adapted for a sat tuner?maybe that may be another avenue to think of.

You could phone them up and subscribe to the most basic TV package, I think its about ?8/month for the first 2months and then cancel soon after, by the time they re-disconnect I think it will be all over anyway and you may end up with a new box if they dont ask for it back...chuck

I'll be contacting Jono soon for a terrestrial tuner. Not moving to sat just yet, gonna sit & wait for more offers from sly before I make a move.

I'm in Middlesbrough and my Digivox has gone off also. I get BBC 1,2,3 and itv, c4 c5 but thats about it. Does that still mean its been switched off at the street end?
