New & need advice

Hi all,

i'm looking to get one of these receivers as i'm sick of S*y.

From reading through the posts here, there are a lot of opinions about what reveivers work the best. I'm wondering for my situation, what would be the best option.

I live in an area that has a clear view of a Cho&&s mast. So i would have to get a mmds ariel, one of those 'down-convertor' thingies and a receiver.

What i'd like to know is what's the best receiver i oculd get?

any replies are greatly appreciated.....

chorus are going n3 in Ireland the same as ntl did most chorus areas are gone to n3 already, i know athlone on cable are streaming n3 but have not switched off n1 yet so all boxes in that area still work. As far as i know they are also streaming n3 on mmds, so my guess is if you pay for antenna, power supply and -t box you may not get your money back..My advice would be to stay well clear for the summer months see what develops and watch the world cup FTA,,,,

Thanks for the reply Stan. I don't suppose there's any alternative to use to accommodate N3?

cs/iks option should be along very soon for 6875 users id guess, as posted on other thread 15th seems to be dday, although this is only a ,,,,if you dont you wont date,they might faze things out to see how many customers are crossing to s+y as they did with the nell network, but for sure times up,,,
