I picked up 5 analogue channels today,BBC1,BBC2,ITV,Channel 4 and Sky News.I cant believe that they are still wasting bandwidth on those channels.

Fano you should try looking into South Coast TV, It used to be free with a Special aerial (Easly bought Maplins) But they started to use a Up Side Down Sky Mini Dish & unknow receiver (When I was Living in your part of the world) Its a form of MMDS disguised with the Mini Dish but its not a satellite signal...

Now they do not Pay for nor are registered as having an Encryption, If you can pick up a Signal or find someone who has South Coast TV I am sure it will open with a Dreambox DVB-t receiver ....

One to look into .... Especially if you know someone who has it, It can be received across much of the city especially high ground or a View of the Airport, the same goes for much of the South Coast where this service is Provided, Im sure they Sky Sports, Movies etc

I live in a mmds area. what i did is take the antanna lead out of the box pluged it into back of telly. and tuned on the vhf frequency and bbc1 bbc2 utv ch4 sky news and rte 1.i live in co louth. they have been sending that signal out for years without a box.once you have an aerial and a psu there is no problem. and that can be split around the house.

arent they analogue channels that are being picked up with just the antenna
they will probably be gone soon too as they just completed the swap over
of analogue customers to digital on the mmds network

some were saying not all areas are going to n3 must be no money in the bank ,if you had a t box and are on n3 you still might have aerial on roof so worth a try as you wont be worse off.

You should get them but need to scan at a higher frequency ,start at 674Mhz.
Does anyone know a good way to combine the MMDS analogue signal with the normal terrestrial tv feed without causing interference ?

Ill let you know in the morning. I think its called a mmds/uhf combiner.Ive use 1 of them in my mams house no problem. the uhf side is ch-21 to 72.and mmds gives a mhz input.

                              Cheers ,that would be great.
I tried using a splitter like this to combine the signals but it introduced noise into the terrestrial channels.
