well guys iv read a bloody lot and am boggled with wich way to go ?
so heres my thing i own a starview 4 & a HD Combi LAN and both have been nagra'd i can scan sxy but only pic up shyte, and have been trying to soak up the c:line thing (is this different to CS ?or just another name ???) (when i find a cline that is)do i have rent a cline from a server or purchase 1 ? what do i do with it ??-man i cant even find 1 ?!?

i read cs is ending as they are all shutting down (gutted for the users) ...anyway i have a sxydish and am desperate for a proper answer

is the starview 6 worth buying im in uk ?

Card sharing on paid servers for sky is full of freezing gliching ran by doggie bloke from some where like morroco with a slow internet connection or some idiot from leeds who had his door kicked down by the police or the the idiot from liverpool who just spent 4 months at her majestys pleasure.Would you realy like the police to have your ip adderess as part of some doggie cardsharing ring and paying ?15 a month for the privlage.
And if you are only intrested in sky on a mini dish then were are you going to get a good share from?????????????????with nothing to share back

not being an expert on cable but no cable box will open the dreaded N3 with out c/s so that would leave the linux boxes like 500c ect but then you would have to find some one brave or daft enought to share there card with you which is highly risky a bit like having a joint on the police sation wall so the starview 6 is not linux based so you will be in the same boat as you are now but with a few more new features on your box but still unable to open the good stuff.
As for c lines this is c/s its the part some one gives you from there server to allow you to connect to them.
There are two basic ways of getting a c line
1 a free share of the good guys who do it for a hobbie but this is a bit of a closed shop and you need somthing for them them to share back ie another subscrption to another tv provider
2 is a paid share which to be honest are not the best and have risks attacked to them as i have already explained

i heard on the radio today, that freeview will soon be broadcasting some pay tv channels along side the fta channels. sky sports etc.
maybe some clever cloggs will find a wayy round this..

some pay servers do work well on some packages but sky is the hardest to share even with the best broadband and low amount of users there still will be some freezing on a private sharing ring.Plus if your pay server gose down ie power cut internet crashes then your tv will stop because you only have one share its called all your eggs in one basket.
Pay servers are scum they will bring c/s to end one day because of there greed.This was started as a hobbie were sat enthusiasts would share there tv sub with each other .But then these pay servers have come along they steel/trick c lines of unspecting people then charge thick people ?20 a month for doing somthing they can do them selves with a bit of knollage and time spent reading up.And at the end of the day they are criminals(even the russian mafia are into it) and you are giving them money via paypal which i would not want my paypal details in the hand of criminals. I know of a few times people have paid for 6 month share for it only to last a short while leaving them of no chance of getting there money back
But it is up to the indavidual and this is only my opion. The majority of the card sharing comunity also have very simlar views on this subject most of the good c/s site will ban any member for running or using a pay server
