cable advise or help

This is my first post and probably a big first. I currently have only 20 meg from vm no phone or tv ,Do i need to subscribe to their tv service before i buy a pvr receiver or i can connect to the broadband cable already installed what set up from the cable to the box should i have IE (splitters) will it effect my bb service?.Im thinking off buying a dreambox pvr as i,ve used A dreambox before on the sat scene and it seems similar.I no its a lot off questions for my first post but i hope some one will point me in the right direction?

you will need a 2 way splitter and it will run of your broadband conection pal ...out of the wall into the splitter then 1 to box and 1 to modem

yes you dont need tv or phone just get any broadband connection with vm and thats all
