Cable/ Sat question

Hey all,

let me start off by saying I am a total noob to this, as you will soon find out! I use to have a chipped cable in three rooms but since they have all gone, I've decided to actually get VM for the 3 rooms.

What I want to know is how easy would it be for them to find out I had chipped cable? In other words, what do I need
to do to cover up the fact I had chipped cable? Also, can I fob off the cable wires as cables I had when I was with sky or do sky cables look completely differently to that of Virgin cable? Would I have to remove the wires completely or can I pass it off as somethig else or will they know that it was for chipped cable?

I would appreciate any help anyone can give, but if anyone actually works for Virgin as an engineer, who can tell me exactly how to get rid of any evidence of chipped cable that would be even better.

they will not give a flying ~~~~ what boxes you had, their just interested in getting you paying a sub.
ive actually had a vermin engineer in my living room looking at my broadband.....
he had to adjust cables right next to my kryptview box........
didnt say a thing....

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm just abut worried thy I might end up with the one engineer who will look ou for this stuff so looking to get rid of as much evidence as poss to reduce risk.

if any one asks , just say
"none of your ~~~~in business, do you want the job or should i give sky a ring!!"

heres how much they care....

i bumped virgin out of a 150 quiudish (unpaid bill)
a rep called and asked if we would take out cable.
i told him straight up, that i'd bumped them.
his answer, we'll just put the account in your missus name, slightly miss-spell it (don't know why) and say you've have just moved in.
worked great, got ma cable back on and threatining letters stopped....
they don't give a ~~~~....

Why dont you do th same as me. I was in exactly the same situation as yourself, had two extra chipped boxes . Phoned vm about extra boxes, told me i had to pay ?35 per box installation fee plus ?5.50 pm. Told them already wired for boxes. " No Sir an engineer will have to install" even though i knew the points work. Hung up and phoned customer services. They are now sending two boxes charging just ?15 delivery for the both. and i will activate them myself when they arrive on Thursday. Hope this helps..

cant see your problem.... your modded/chipped boxes wont work will they?? throw them away.... you or the previous tenants must have had cable. vermin dont always turn it of.
so dont worry.....i've had a chipped box and an sv3 for years... will have to upgrade soon, but NO SWEAT.....
