What is the deal with N3 or Nagra3?

Hi all, have I missed something, I've been of the scene for a while... I here a lot of things flying about regarding N3!!

I have DM500 box that has been working great in the Blackburn ex.C&W area for ages now with DW 2.1 image and auto update, but recently I have lost quite a few channels. Would this be to do with N3? or does that just affect hacked Virgin Boxes?

If someone could give me a summery of whats going down and if there is any solutions available or on there way.

hello john mate, if you were to read other post on this you whould find the answer quite quickly, n3 is the ruination of all cable boxes my freind and there is no cure for it, it has been in the usa for 4 years now and no one has come anywere near cracking it, its all over john mate
