V+ box without subscription

Hi folks,

My dad has normal Virgin tv with a VBox. I was wondering if I were to buy a V+ box would it work ok with his subscribed card or are the boxes paired? VM want ?5 per month for the V+ so if I can get one cheap this might be an option.

They are Paired, I think they use the box mac addy for this.

The V+ box has like a hard coating over various chips on it, but the 160 GB harddrive is great to put in your computer as a slave to download FANTASTIC stuff off DK on to it.

Somehow you can get 'cloned' V+ boxes but only what was on the card already, ad VM send a kill signal to it. Unplug then cancell contract

Just had one fitted and i'm sure he scanned card then scanned the bar on back of box.
