Strange advice on a Fleabay guide.

    Hi all.

Was just messing around on Fleabay, like one does to countdown to 5 on the office clock, seeing whats what with Kryptviews, Starviews, electronic bits and bobs etc, when I came upon this guide, copy and paste below. I note its dated 16/11/08. Is he saying dont but cloned boxes or that Virgin are rolling out new encryption after xmas? And I know, have heard more Virgin scare stories than have had porrige oats.

Dont Waste your money on dbox 1, dbox 2 starview euro
ebay is flooded with these knock off cable boxes which can receive all of virgin medias services (theft of cable tv). there are clones, copys, cheap imatations that are rubbish and dont work or break after a while.

Dont get ripped off or scammed save your money, your buying a box that will work for a few mths max then your stuck with scrap, useless box.

Virgin are wise to the situation, ntl/telewest etc.. didnt bother but your in for a massive shock and out of pocket.

the new system is rolling out now as we speak, virgin have eliminated 3/4 of cloned modems on the network, encrypted files are now in place ready for the big switch over.

Be warned its gonna hit hard after xmas, dont waste your money on a box that wont work on virgin media.

they have succeeded in a few months what ntl/telewest couldnt do in 10 yrs.

Thats a new one... can't knock em for trying... I guess they just want to stop this hobby growing at the rate it seems to be.. There are so many places selling them now and the amount of noobs joining DK (and elsewhere obviously) and wanting to get started is surprising...

I guess I will just have to jack it from my neighbours feed instead if I sense them getting close.

They could stop it all tomorrow without a change of encryption regardless.
Checkout the RED stickies massive amount of info and effort been put into them.

I used to work for a manufacturer, they new what the score was and choose to ignore it, if they change the encryption to nagra 3, everyone on free for me box will have a blank screen.

arnt the tunners the same as the nthell boxes?

so as long as a cam as created we'll be ok??

i wonder why they keep changing the codes a lot recently?
