Hi everyone. I'm a complete novice at this stuff,so sorry in advance. As i stay in Glasgow (Hit by N3) i bit the bullet & upgraded to v+. We phoned to say we hadn't recieved our viewing card,next thing we know they sent us 2 in the space of a week. I still have an old Telewest Explorer 4000DVB box here which i have tried putting the spare card into. It appears to boot up for a couple of seconds (the virgin media sign comes up) then switches of again & continues to repeat this motion. Is there a way i can make this work or is each card unique to the box it's been assigned to? Thanks in advance.

The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'. -
Thanks for quick response Bulldog. I was more than happy to pay the extra ?5.50 pm for an additional v-box but the clowns insist that they have to send an engineer out to fit it (even though i've explained the cable req'd is already fitted in bedroom) & neither myself or wife can get time off work for an engineer to come out.Comment

If you just want the HD box without the function to pause and rewind then you can get them to send you the V-HD box instead of the V+ box.
you pay the extra ?5.50 per month for the V+ box and they normally have to send out an engineer and are very insistant but the V-HD box is no extra monthly charge and it is also a self install so no engineer

Hi Dreamer. Thanks for your reply. It was just the standard box i'd asked for (Additional V+ box was going to set me back ?99.00). They said they were wavering the engineer fee & insisted that this is now their policy. Bit of a joke tbh,as you rightly pointed out it's just a case of plugging it in & away you go.Comment
