    Moving Back To My VBox

    Hi guys,

now that my Dreambox is basically useless I'm borrowing my parent's VBox since they never use it and have Sky instead.

The package we are currently on includes Broadband and Phone but no TV. I just phoned Virgin up to ask them about Freeview TV but they said they could only sell me the M+ package which would be ?40 installation and an extra ?5 a month. No thanks.

All we want is freeview and the catch-up feature, that's it.

I'm plugging it in, and all I'm getting is the "Your Digital TV service will start shortly.", but it just sits like that for ages, meanwhile the front of the box switches from Ld:20 to Ld:30 constantly.

The box used to be located in London but is now being used in Norwich. Would this make any difference?

Is there any hope for getting Freeview or do we really have to pay more money just to watch basic TV?

You need a card paired to the box to recieve any channels.
    You will need a sub.

Why not just buy a freeview digi box with a hard drive that way you get the features you want.

I have a card that is paired to the box but it probably hasn't been used for ages. It will still be running off my parent's account I assume.

The TV in the lounge has freeview but there are no aerial points in the room, and I can't get decent reception with a plug in aerial either.

The Virgin gear is in the lounge, so that would make it much easier, plus it has the catch-up feature which is what my housemates want..
