          thanks for the info.....
          so would the same principal apply with sky and the multi room extra box?
          go halves with someone and have two diff boxes running in two diff houses?
          both in the same post code.
          not sure if post codes would make any diff with sky?
          anyone???

                  it worked for me, i got my next door neighbour to do that and i rerouted the cable from her LBN, worked fine untill we fell out

                    dont know how they can suss that should work perfectly fine within a certain radius as you are using the same box and card and theres no way the sattellite can pin point your exact location

                    as for the cable that should too there should'nt be any problems but as long as your on the same net id works wonders.

                    Back in the days there used to be 100's of boxes cloned to each other which worked for yonks

                    same goes for the modems too you can take them where you want in your are works perfectly fine just like a cloned modem does 2 modems with the same macs etc still work up to this day

                      thought that was how they sussed you..
                      boxes calling home every now and then....

                        well they do say connect it to phone line but it still works without it and i dont know anyone who has a phone line plugged in so i guess its not important
