Home Plugs

Need a bit of help pls
Got a pair of Home Plugs to set up a Kryptview A780
1. Can one end be connected to a router or must it be connected to a PC directly.?
2. Also could this be connected to a laptop I use with a wireless connection instead of using the router.?

Any ideas

router connects to homeplug via ethernet cable
other homeplug connects to box via ethernet cable....

where does the pc/laptops come into it??

Didn't explain very well, I meant use the laptop downstairs which is on a wireless connection instead of router upstairs connected to main PC

I'll put you completely in the picture I hope and thanks for the reply.
At the moment I am using a 10 metre ethernet extension from upstairs back bedroom/office where the Netgear router is, this travels from that bedroom down the stairs into front room to the box.
Now I also have Laptop in my dining rooom which is wireless, still with me!!!.
Question is can I plug home plug into laptop even though its wireless or must I use the router.

But why would you want to do that?????
just plug a homeplug into a plug socket next to the router then a ethernet cable for that to the router
now plug the other homeplug into a plug socket next to the box and an ethernet cable form the homeplug to the box
job done
sorted
done and dusted.

Just really wondering if it could be done, I am all "done and dusted" thanks, connected through the router.
