I,m an old silver surfer who shortly hopes to retire to Malta.
On my last visit to malta I took my eurovox max (blue) with me to try it at my brothers who is on maltese cable. (Melita Cable I think)
Did numerouse scans and sure enough found various channels including lots of UK channels. Problem was that box then asked for smart card so I obviously had no further luck.
My questions for all you boffins out there are these,
1/ would it be possible to use a eurovox in Malta by altering any of the settings? e.g symbol rate (I did try both 6.952 and 6.887 powerscans in both full and normal modes).
So I was wondering if anyone had any info on this sort of problem or knew of a website where I might get such info.
2/ assuming that I might possibly not be able to use the eurovox in Malta
does any body know of a cablebox that would work in Europe.
Added info all UK electrical equipment runs in Malta
