You have made one four year old very happy
I have had a very good look through the forum over the last few days ... when I could get on!! ... I have now managed with all of your great help to update my box manually.
I know that you know say that there is a fix available, will i have to do this too?
Sorry. If there is something about this somewhere just point me in the direction and thanks again.

stinkamuffin read here and you can fix your box. if you are happy inputting keys manually then you can elect to do that every time the keys change but this is not difficult - honest.

From what I've read, those yucky no good fellas at VM could send naughty things down my cable again and mess my keys up ... maybe even on a daily basis. Then I just input the keys that you guys have told me manually. However, if I do not want to keep inputting them each time they do this then I download the fix which will correct them each time they try it ..... until they do their next BIGGIE. Is that right?
Hubby can get a null modem cable thingie, I did have a look at the fix post but was confused whether it was necessary or not.
Thanks again for your time and patience.
