Dreambox question.

Hi,

Sorry for my newbish question but I want to know if it is possible to use a dreambox (or other equivalent box) without a satellite antenna.

So my question is very simple: Where I live I can't install a satellite antenna because I don't any balcony or any other suitable place... so I want to now if there is any other option to use a dreambox (or other box like that) without using a satellite.

Is it possible to get the channel streaming over the internet?

what you're talking about is iptv and no, unfortunately the dreambox cant do that and nor does any other box i know of. If you want satellite TV, only way is through a dish. Sorry.

I have cable TV but I am quite sure that the other channels are removed from my signal with passband filters...

So, if the signal isn't present there is nothing we can do about it. Am I right?

Another think to conclude: Is it possible to have another kind of a small and discrete satellite antenna inside the house? Like for example those antennas used in satellite phones.

when i plug it in a blank screen appears.
i would be gratful if someone can explain step by step in simple format as am not a technical person.

Also if theres anything i need to download, what do i download & where from???

dreambox is not a simple machine, plus it wont work on cable anymore.. you should have done some reading before you bought it

What about them squish satellite box things ..... I know, they look naff, but maybe if you put it up disgretely no one will notice it.. trick it out with your matching wall camo

Or if you have a good opening out window you could make a contraption for it to attach to and hang out your window then pull it in when finished
