DM500 wierdness

Been struggling like a few people over the past few days to get my stuff back onto my box.

Noticing something a bit weird though, even with the default AU setting, my box isn't auto updating at all, even with bad keys.

I am using the latest SoftCam.key (mgcamd) with the latest keys in it, and it doesn't seem to even attempt to read the file.

All the ECG and channel listing are there after a brute force scan, however, I reflashed to dk1.1 this morning and saw a scan for my area (Leeds) did that and sly sports etc wasn't in the list, so did the brute force scan and they showed up in the channel listing.

Do you reckon this could be related or something? I'm just really puzzled at the mo because what I am doing should be working. Changing the AU bit in the mg_cfg doesn't do anything, nothing changes, and it seems like nothing gets read.

Even while trying evocam out, keylist doesn't change etc.

Not quite sure what else I could do differently, other than wait for the firmware to get updated

If anyone has any ideas throw them at me.

If you require assistance on the dm500c/s/t then just to let you know the fix is already out your just looking in the wrong section,

its all in the cable dreambox section

If you have flashed the Dk 1.1 image to your dreambox Great,

if not download dreamup from this site (its free) then connect

DREAM UP

DreamBox Ip:
Username: root
Pass: dreambox

hit connect then a message should say
''switch the power on to the dreambox''

plug in the power cord to dbox and flash

if you want to erase the previous stuff on the box click yes
to (perform flash erase) otherwise click no

once completed you should see ''Flash performed successfully''

disconnect



Flash FxP or Filezilla

(download either Flash fxp from this site or Filezilla from net )

Install Flash Fxp from this site or FileZilla Client (they are both free software)

Once Installed connect your (pc to router via crossover cable) and (Dbox to router via crossover cable) yes this means you need 2 crossover cables

Flash Fxp

Server/URL: (Your Dbox IP)
Username: root
Passwrod: dreambox
Port: (leave blank)

FileZilla

Open Site Manager and create a new site
Site name make – ‘Dreambox’
Host name is the IP address of the box ‘192.168.x.xxx’
Port leave blank
Server type – FTP
Logontype - Account
UserID is ‘root’
Password is ‘dreambox’
Account name ‘dreambox’

after this hit connect you should now be connected

it is imperative that you make sure all cables are connected securely and that your cables are legit crossover not patch and if you still have problems your typing the wrong Dbox IP

(try checking you dbox ip when connected to the internet or when not)

Once your connected

Navigate through your dbox folders to Var
inside this folder are two more folders KEYS & SCCE

you should be able to get them from somewhere on this website

download the files and copy them to their locations
KEYS (Goes in) KEYS and SCCE (Goes in) SCCE

in the SCCE folder delete all the nagrarom10 and 11

there should be only three nagrarom left (all should end with 7)

then follow the guide i have attached within
