You will not get HD TV if you connect via a scart, if you have 2 HD inputs on the back of your TV then connect one to you DVD( if your DVD has a HD port) and the other to your virgin box, and with this way when you play you DVD it will overide your TV, if your DVD does not have a HD port then connect it via a scart, if you daisy chain it ie Virgin-DVD-TV with scarts then you will not get HD...chuck

You can now connect your virgin box via the scart to the input on the DVD input, then from the DVD output to the TV. A lot of TV's you buy say HD ready, but they do not show true HD, you have to have one that say full HD 1080 to recieve full HD, sorry it's a bit confusing....chuck

Mickeyboy have you gone into the settings on your tv a made sure that your tv is tuned in correctly. Also did you get the box off virgin and is the box paired to the card?

connect tv to vermin box via hdmi cable

then connect vermin box to dvd via scart lead.

then set yuor tv input to hdmi 1

this is all you should need to do.

your vermin box should come up on your tv

then if you switch dvd player on it will override box...
if you press record on dvd it will record whatever channel vermin box is switched to

                              Cracked it me thinks,
I put hdmi lead from tv to hd box,
put tv scart into audio video 2 to the av1tv on dvd player,
Then a scart from hd box to the av2 decoder on the dvd player,
+1 lead antenna out of dvd ,to antenna on tv .
Now i can record hdmi on tv ,but play back on av2 on dvd ,
But got to switch to av2 on tv to watch it ,
Hope this makes sense in case any one else has same problem ,
                              THANKS AGAIN LADS
