    channel freezing on SV7

Hi i have a Starview 7 and when watching certain channels like sky sports i experience alot of freezing which can last up to around 20 seconds. Does any one know a fix for this or is it a common occurrence? I have the Carling 1.01 firmware on the box.
    Any help would be grateful.
    Thanks

Download latest firmware; STVU 7 Carling 1.03 to usb-stick.
Load firmware to box via usb-stick. Always power-off box when
inserting or removing usb-stick. Check all cables & connections
are sound as weak signal can cause freezing.
In menu--key edit make sure auto-update is turned on.

Thanks for you're reply. I have downloaded the new software and put it on. But it still seems to freeze every now and then. Does this mean it is a signal problem?

Hi utdman i am not downloading anything when this freezing occurs. Do you think it might be a signal problem? It only tends to happen on certain channels and it also used to happen on the same channels on my eurovox max v.

Sounds like weak signal. Are you paying for basic TV package.
How many splitters have you on TV cable. What values is box
showing for signal. Make sure all cables & fittings are sound

Hi Eamo i am paying for broadband and have used a 2 way splitter to then go in the back of the SV7.

You never said what your signal values are. Make sure all
cables & connections & splitter are OK. If your signal values are
still low you might have to pay basic TV package to receive
                  decent signal.

in some areas broadband is not enough because it is capped,if you had a cable package signal has to be higher and better for the box.i expect your signal is around 56 where as its suppose to be at 80
