Issues flashing dbox

Ive done this on my mates box and all went fine. But the box I have hangs when loading the kernal.
So FTPing it wont be possible. I cant get the IFA to work either, the tv shows hallenburg is working on your dbox2. Is this an issue as mine is a dbox, not a dbox2. The status on the PC hangs about 1/4 of the way through.

Any Ideas?

but dbox 1's dont take the same images as dbox 2's m8
