eurovox no display on tv and no channels

Hi

I am very new to this -so i may not be up to speed. I know about channels being lost or showing as scrambled - but i believe my problem to be different.
I had been using my eurovox 5000 for a few years...and yes - some channels i used to get were now showing as scrabled and i knew i would have to flash them to get them re-instated. However, due to a totally unrelated issue (broadband) a Virgin Media engineer was scheduled to come out to my house.
As i did not want any hassle from him regarding non-legal boxes etc i totally removed my eurovox from the cable and hid it in the bedroom. After a few weeks i eventually got time to re-install it---and nothing????.
It does light up, but all i get is the red standby light and the green segments circleing?. It makes no difference if the cable is plugged in or not - so i initially thought it was the cable - but it works fine in my virgin media box.
I get no display on the tv at all.
If i had been got at by Nagra3 then i would still get channels 1-5??
Any thought would be appreaciated

theres no where in the uk that isnt on nag 3 so yes u are ,, if its only free view u want get a freeview box or look at kryptview boxes
