5B01 (Telewest) autoroll?

Hi everyone,

Rather noobish question here, but I am using sasc-ng on a PC. It's similar to newcamd, etc and requires various bits to do the autoupdate.

I have the new rom7 properly in place, eeproms from the correct provider (I believe) with the rest of the roms disabled. However...

I still need the AU keys, which don't seem to be available anywhere that I'm looking.

Specifically, in addition to the normal decryption keys for 5C01, etc, there are:

N 5C01 E1 B...
N 5C01 N1 2...
N 5C01 N2 0...
N 5C01 N2a 5...
N 5C01 V D...

However, for 5B01, nothing. What am I missing?

Copy contents of Keys folder to /var/keys
Copy contents of Scce folder to /var/scce

Although this may be different on your image. Any reason why you dont use evocamd 2.12 which is thee preferred emu for cable?

What you can do is delete all the rom, ram and epr 10 and 11 files in both of these folders. Also remove the rom 7 file and replace it with your nw one.

Reboot the box and hopefully you will be sorted.

Okay, I've been playing a little more and found out that sasc will roll keys regardless of the absence of the V TYP0 key, etc

I don't use evocamd since it's just another layer of stuff-to-go-wrong - sasc-ng does everything decryption related - It's a true softcam. As far as the application is concerned, it just sees a 'standard' DVB card with a CAM.

5B01 is definitely my region. The keys roll and are valid.

Also, the removing the keys from SoftCam.Key step is REQUIRED!
