    Freeview/internet box

Watching the Andrew Marr Show 5 December 2010 a guest speaker made a comment relating to a new cable Freeview box with internet connection due 2011? Has any one heard of this and and what direction are they trying to take as many boxes barring the cheep'os giving internet access. The only benifit i can see would be internet access without the piggin about with
    programming.

Thanks very much, looking at it, it doesn't look much like a "freeview" when you are advised they may use any information you offer them under the terms and conditions. I wonder what the long term aim of the company is, as they have talk talk, BBC and other involved

...or it could be called the Virgin Media TiVo box, since the OP referred to cable?

Virgin Media TV powered by TiVo
